Cancellation Policy
Although we understand that emergencies can arise, we know our clients honor our time as much as we honor theirs. If you are unable to keep your reservation, kindly give us at least 24 hours’ notice. This courtesy maintains a higher availability of our time for you as well as others and allows other clients the opportunity to fill that appointment time.
Please note: Clients who fail to cancel 24 hours in advance may be subject to prepay for future reservations. Booking reservations will be considered your acceptance of our Cancellation Policy; therefore, please be certain you have reviewed and agree to these terms.
Late Policy
We understand situations arise in which may cause you to be late. If you have not arrived, we will give you a courtesy call from the salon approximately 10 minutes after your scheduled reservation. If for any reason you expect to be more than 10 minutes late, please call us at 913.800.8228. Please be aware, in the unfortunate event you are late, we may need to abbreviate your service or reschedule your reservation for another day.
No-Show Policy
Shelby Herrick Salon will allow one notice for the first instance of a no-show or last-minute cancellation. If a client is a no-show or last-minute cancel, beyond the first instance, they will be charged 100% of the scheduled service and required to prepay in order to secure future reservations.
Confirmation Policy
Shelby Herrick Salon makes every effort to notify you of your scheduled reservation, but it is ultimately your responsibility to confirm your reservation.
Confirmation Emails
Confirmation emails are sent 72 hours in advance of scheduled reservations. Please click the link found in the email to confirm your reservation – do not reply via email, as our system does not receive replies. Please note, the confirmation link is active between the hours of 5am and 12am; our system will not recognize confirmed appointments outside of those times.
If you do not confirm your reservation via the email link provided, you will receive a phone call the evening before your scheduled service. Consider this our second attempt to confirm your reservation. If you miss that call for any reason, we will leave a message. Please call us to confirm your reservation. If the call is after hours, please leave a voice message.
If you do not confirm your reservation via the email link provided, or by phone, your reservation may be cancelled. Should you have questions, feel free to call the salon any time at 913.800.8228. Please leave a voice message if you reach us outside our business hours.
Text Reminders
As an additional convenience, we offer appointment reminders two hours before scheduled appointments via text message. If you would like to opt-in to this service, please inquire. The text message will include your scheduled service and scheduled service time. Do not reply to this message, as our system does not receive replies.
Payment Policy
We accept all major credit cards, cash and personal checks. We do not accept third party checks.
Return Policy
Products can be returned for salon credit within seven days of purchase with receipt.
If you are not 100% satisfied with your service, we invite you to return for a complimentary redo with the same service provider, or you may request a new service provider.
Gift Certificate Policy
Gift certificates can be purchased in any dollar denomination and may be used in our salon for all products and services. If you would like to add gratuity, you must do so in advance. Certificates are non-refundable if lost or stolen. Certificates cannot be redeemed for cash. Certificate holder must be present at time of service. Certificates do not expire. Certificates can be purchased in-person at the salon, or by phone at 913.800.8228.

Gowns are available for your utmost comfort and relaxation, and complimentary coffee, tea and purified water is available throughout your service. Whether you’re a new or long-term client, our stylists begin every appointment with a four-step consultation to ensure the best possible service each and every time you return to our salon. Our dedication to experience and customer service goes hand in hand with your service producer. Should you ever find yourself unhappy with your current service provider for any reason, we welcome and encourage you to try a new provider – we promise it will remain a comfortable experience for you.
